xpressions.Itseemedthey’reinterested.Newwordsappearedinthislessonareactuallynotnewtoourstudents.Theyhavemasteredthemintheir

2ndor3rdgradealready.Sothispartwasbasicallydonebystudentsthemselvesexcepttwosounds:“oo”incookiesand“ee”incheese,whichtheyoftenma

kemistakesinpronouncingthesetwowords.ThenIdesignedashorttexttoputallthewords,expressionsandsentencesin,sothatthetargetlanguagecanbeinareas

onablelogicorder.Thisparttakes3steps:Listeningandanswer;readingandanswer;andreadingaloudtogetherforconsolidationofthetargetlanguage.

Accordingtoourstudents’languagecompetence,talkingaboutsomethingweeatgoodornotgoodforhealthshouldbetooconfinedtotheirlanguage,theycoulds

aysomuchmore.Sointhepracticepart,Ibringinsomedailyactivitieswedoandalsoaskstudentsthereasons,withtheexpectationtomakeitdeeperandtoarousemorelanguageo

ftheirown.Intheproductionpart,Iaskthemtodoasurvey,aimingataproductionofthetargetlanguageandimprovingtheirwritingandorallanguageskills.Gen

erallyspeaking,Ithinkthestudentshavedoneawonderfuljob,theysparklesomanylanguageseventhoughthey’renotmystudents.Soifthere’ssomechangescouldb

emadeforthisclass,IthinkfirstIshouldhavemoreintimacywiththestudents,toknoweachothermore,sothattheclasswouldbem

orenaturalandfluent.Andsecond,thestudents’languagecompetenceisoutofmyexpectation,soIthinkIshouldleavemorespaceforthemtoexpresst

hemselvesfreely.Thequestionsshouldbedesignedmoreopenratherthanhalf-openquestions.Thirdly,IthinkIshouldhaveabettertimeco

ntrol.Andforthegoodside,Ithinkthisclasscorrespondswiththepsychologicalandlanguagedevelopmentofthestu
