lothing.Then,heworkedasaprinter,ariver­boatpilotandlaterjoinedthearmy.Butshortlyafterthathebecameaminer.Duringthispe

riod,hestartedtowriteshortstories.Afterwardshebecameafull­timewriter.In1870,MarkTwaingotmarried.Intheyearsthatfollowedhewrotemanybooksinclu
