ofsmokedpapers.BytheendoftheQingruling,however,papercuttingwasonceonthedeclinebecausenewartformswerebeingintroduced.TheRepublicofChinal
atertriedtorevivetheartinthe1980s.Today,papercut-outsarechieflydecorative.Theydecoratewalls,windows,do
ors,columns,mirrors,lampsandlanternsinhomesandarealsousedonpresentsoraregivenasgiftsthemselves.Entrancesdecorated
