cape,withKunmingLake,LongevityHill,andtheGardenofVirtueandHarmony.TheSummerPalaceisasymbolofChinesetraditionalculture.

ItisacombinationofChinesegardenartandimperialpalacearchitecture,andisamasterpieceofChinesetraditionalculture.Itisalsoaplaceofgreathistoricalandc

ulturalsignificance,andhasbeenlistedasaWorldCulturalHeritageSitebyUNESCO.圆明园TheOldSummerPalace,alsoknownastheYuanmingyuan,isasymboloftraditionalChine

seculture.Itwasbuiltinthemid-18thcenturyduringthereignofEmperorQianlongoftheQingDynasty.Itislocatedinthenor

thwestofBeijingandcoversanareaof3.5squarekilometers.Itisalarge-scaleimperialgardenwithacombinationofChineseandWestern

styles.TheOldSummerPalaceisamasterpieceofChinesegardenart.Itisdividedintothreeparts:theoutercourt,theinnercourtandthewesterncourt.Th

in495ADduringtheNorthernWeiDynasty.ItwasfirstbuilttohousetheIndianmonkBatuo,whowasinvitedtoChinatospreadBuddhism.Overthecenturies,Sha

olinTemplehasbecomeamajorcenterofChineseBuddhismandmartialarts.Ithasattractedmanyfamousmonksandmartiala

rtists,includingthelegendarymonkBodhidharma.TheShaolinmartialarts,alsoknownasWushu,isacombinationofphysicalexercisea

ndmeditation.ItissaidtohaveoriginatedfromthemartialartspracticedbythemonksofShaolinTemple.Itischaracterizedbyitsfast

andpowerfulmovements,andiswidelypracticedinChinaandaroundtheworld.ShaolinTempleisalsorenownedforitsbeautif

enlyKings,theMahaviraHall,andthePagodaForest.ShaolinTempleisasymbolofChinesecultureandapopulartouristdestin

islistedasaWorldCulturalHeritageSitebyUNESCO.TheYungangGrottoeswerebuiltintheNorthernWeiDynasty(386-534AD).Itiscomposedof252grotto

es,withmorethan51,000stonestatues,rangingfrom1centimeterto17metersinheight.Thestatuesarevividandlifelike,andthecarvingsareexquisiteanddelica

OWorldHeritageSiteandareopentothepublic.乐山大佛TheLeshanGiantBuddha,locatedinLeshanCity,SichuanProvince,

istheworld'slargeststoneBuddhastatue.ItiscarvedonthecliffofLingyunMountainintheeastofLeshanCity.Itis71metershighandhasahistoryofmorethan1,200

years.ItisamasterpieceofChineseancientsculptureart.TheLeshanGiantBuddhaisasittingBuddhastatue.ItissaidthatthestatuewasbuiltbyamonknamedHaitongi

ntheTangDynasty.HewantedtocalmtheturbulentwatersoftheMinjiangRiverandprotectthelocalpeoplefromthedanger

stswhocomeChina.赵州桥TheZhaozhouBridge,alsoknownastheAnjiBridge,isaChinesebridgelocatedinZhaoxianCounty,HebeiPr

ovince.Itistheoldestopen-spandrelstonesegmentalarchbridgeintheworld,andisconsideredtheworld'sfirstfullyfunctionalo

pen-spandrelstonebridge.Builtintheyear605ADduringtheSuiDynasty,thebridgehasatotallengthof37metersandawidthof9.6meters.Itiscomposedof28sto

nearches,eachwithaspanof3.4meters.Thebridgeisconstructedwithauniquecombinationofstoneandwood,andissupportedbyaseriesofstonep

iers.Thebridgeisrenownedforitselegantdesignandremarkabledurability,havingwithstoodthetestoftimeforover1,400years.Itisatestamentt
