n495ADduringtheNorthernWeiDynasty.ItwasfirstbuilttohousetheIndianmonkBatuo,whowasinvitedtoChinatospreadBuddhism.Overthecenturies,S

haolinTemplehasbecomeamajorcenterofChineseBuddhismandmartialarts.Ithasattractedmanyfamousmonksandmartialartists,includingt

TheYungangGrottoes,locatedinDatongCity,ShanxiProvince,China,isoneofthemostfamousancientBuddhistgrottoesintheworld.ItisamasterpieceofChineseBudd

histart,andislistedasaWorldCulturalHeritageSitebyUNESCO.TheYungangGrottoeswerebuiltintheNorthernWeiDynasty(386-534AD).Itiscomposedof252grott

oes,withmorethan51,000stonestatues,rangingfrom1centimeterto17metersinheight.Thestatuesarevividandlifelike,andthecarvingsareexquisiteanddel

riculturalareasalongitsbanks.TheGrandCanalisasymbolofChinesecivilizationandculture.Ithaswitnessedtheriseandfallofdynasties,andhasbeena

witnesstothedevelopmentofChinesesociety.莫高窟TheMogaoGrottoes,locatedintheDunhuangCityofGansuProvince,isoneofthemostfamousBuddhistgrotto

ientChina.TheMogaoGrottoesarenowaUNESCOWorldHeritageSiteandareopentothepublic.乐山大佛TheLeshanGiantBuddha,locatedinL

eshanCity,SichuanProvince,istheworld'slargeststoneBuddhastatue.ItiscarvedonthecliffofLingyunMountainintheeastofLeshanCity.Itis71metershig

handhasahistoryofmorethan1,200years.ItisamasterpieceofChineseancientsculptureart.TheLeshanGiantBuddhaisasi

leted.TheLeshanGiantBuddhaisasymbolofChinesecultureandart.Itisalsoaworldculturalheritage.Everyyear,manytouristsfrom

allovertheworldcometovisittheLeshanGiantBuddha.Itisamust-seefortouristswhocomeChina.赵州桥TheZhaozhouBridge,alsoknownastheAnjiBridge,isaChinese

bridgelocatedinZhaoxianCounty,HebeiProvince.Itistheoldestopen-spandrelstonesegmentalarchbridgeintheworld,andi

sconsideredtheworld'sfirstfullyfunctionalopen-spandrelstonebridge.Builtintheyear605ADduringtheSuiDynasty

,thebridgehasatotallengthof37metersandawidthof9.6meters.Itiscomposedof28stonearches,eachwithaspanof3.4meters.Thebridgeisconstructedwithauniquecom

binationofstoneandwood,andissupportedbyaseriesofstonepiers.Thebridgeisrenownedforitselegantdesignandremarkabledurability,havingwithstoodthetest
